Raymond James Hires Exec Overseeing Strategic Growth

Raymond James has lured a former Fidelity Investments executive to its Investment Advisors Division.

Maria Daley joins the Raymond James IAD as senior vice president of strategic growth, according to the firm. Raymond James IAD was launched in 2001 in order to provide custodial support to independent, fee-based RIAs, portfolio managers, financial planners, trust companies and accountants, Raymond James says.

"Raymond James' strong culture and robust RIA platform attracted me to the role," Daley said in a statement following the announcement. "The integrated technology and broad resources such as lending solutions, trust services, research and investment banking are true differentiators in the marketplace."

After getting her start in the financial services industry with Seligman Securities in 1985, Daley worked for BT Brokerage, Boatmen's Investment Services and Liberty Funds Distributor, according to FINRA records. Daley most recently worked with Charles Schwab, Neuberger Berman and Atlantic Trust, where she was a partner and spent nine years in business development, according statements from Raymond James.

Raymond James also recently lured a husband-and-wife team from Edward Jones with roughly $157 million in client assets.
