Templeton Fund Will Shift Focus

Franklin Templeton Distributors' Templeton Greater European Fund has been renamed Templeton Global Investment Trust, to reflect a shift in the fund's focus. Rather than investing in emerging markets, the fund will invest in any foreign developed country. The fund currently invests at least 75 percent of its assets in securities of European countries.

A Franklin Templeton spokesperson said the firm decided to move away from emerging markets due to its exposure in Russia. The change will be effective August 1.
