His current duties include management responsibilities for business development in the Firm’s regional offices, including personnel efforts in Chicago, Miami, New York, and San Diego. He’s also actively involved in providing investment banking services to clients such as Chicago Transit Authority, Texas Department of Transportation, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, and the Brownsville Public Utilities Board. He has developed financial expertise in water utilities, public power, airports, toll facilities, convention and sports facilities, resource recovery, renewable energy, and public-private partnerships.Mr. Garza also bring the advantage of a 41-year banking career including over 25 years on Wall Street. His experience includes serving as Director in the Public Finance department at Citigroup Corporate and Investment Bank; Managing Director at Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. in New York; Senior Vice President at Dillon Read & Co., Inc. in Dallas; Vice President at First Southwest Company in Dallas and San Antonio; Banking Officer at RepublicBank Dallas N.A.; and Vice President at Hidalgo Savings & Loan Association inEdinburg, Texas.Mr. Garza is fluent in Spanish.

Mr. Smith has over 30 years of experience in financing and development of projects. He is based in Houston, but serves as a nationwide resource in variety of areas of public finance, including municipal, county, and state issuers. Mr. Smith brings to the group a particular expertise in public private partnership transactions. A former member of the Texas House of Representatives, and having served on the Appropriations Committee, Mr. Smith has a unique perspective to funding issues. Mr. Smith has an extensive background in Transportation Finance, including his work on the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County’s METRO Solutions 2 Light Rail Project. Mr. Smith did the initial financing for Titus County’s Unlimited Pass-Through Toll revenue financing and has been actively engaged in other toll road financing projects in Texas. As a former President of the Greater Houston Builders Association, Mr. Smith has extensive experience in the design, development and construction of major projects. He is actively involved in Public Private Partnership projects including major municipal infrastructure projects. Mr. Smith has been a frequent speaker at industry forums related to Public Private Partnerships and Transportation financing, including APTA, The National Council of Public Private Partnerships and the Federal Transit Administration.

Erich Hamilton is director of engineering for DAMAC, a company that provides infrastructure capabilities for data centers.

Harris counsels clients on a wide range of employee benefits issues, including the design and administration of qualified retirement plans, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, executive compensation programs, and health/welfare plans. Areas of particular expertise include 401(k) plans, ESOPs, and stock option plans, as well as group health and cafeteria plans. Stuart's work includes advice on the tax and ERISA implications (including COBRA rules) of all types of employee benefit programs.

With more than 25 years of experience, Thomas has a unique view on security in the enterprise with experience in multiple domains from risk management and secure development to incident response and forensics. During his career, Thomas has held varying roles from incident responder to security architect for fortune 500 companies, as well as industry vendors and consulting organizations.

Wood is in his 23rd year as senior vice president of government affairs for The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. He is annually dubbed one of the top trade association lobbyists in Washington by “The Hill” magazine. Wood spent his early career as assistant vice president of government affairs for the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents and served six years as press secretary and legislative director for Rep. Don Sundquist, R-Tenn.
