Sumner Blount has been associated with the development and marketing of software products for over 25 years. He is currently the director of Product Solutions in the security division of CA, with responsibility for regulatory compliance strategy. He also served as the Senior Product Manager for the SiteMinder product family at Netegrity. Before coming to Netegrity, he managed the Distributed Computing Product Management Group and the TOPS-10/20 OS Development Group at Digital Equipment, and the OS development group at Prime Computer. He was instrumental in the original conception and development of the DCE technology from the Open Software Foundation, and was Chairman of the DCE Special Interest Group within OSF for five years.
