Dr. Hinrich Schuetze is the chief scientist at Enkata Technologies, Inc. (www.enkata.com), a leading provider of industry-specific software solutions that support the discovery of breakthrough improvement opportunities in core business processes. At Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), Schuetze developed a scalable approach to semantic analysis of natural language based on associational analysis. Schuetze has taught information retrieval and natural language processing at Stanford University and is also a consultant to the school's Medical Informatics group. He has published two books on natural language processing using mathematical techniques and is the author of a dozen issued and pending patents.

Rex Brooks, president of Stabourne Communications Design, has pursued an extensive and wide-ranging career in advertising art direction, corporate identity and graphic design. His ongoing interests have included the applications of computer technology in his field and applying concepts from the fields of psychology, sociology and advertising in the area of semantics and semiotics for the purposes of improving communications in digital information systems. This led to his involvement with OASIS in the HumanMarkup Technical Committee helping to create the Human Markup Language. He is the cofounder of the Content Development Working Group of the Web 3D Consortium and Humanmarkup.org, Inc. and serves as vice chair of the OASIS HumanMarkup Technical Committee. Dan Stanford is a director for McKnight Associates, Inc. Stanford has implemented numerous management information systems, decision support systems and data warehouses over his 22-year career.
