  • Groppel, Ph.D., is the co-founder of the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute. He is an internationally recognized authority and pioneer in the science of human performance and co-chair of the newly formed Global Alliance for Health & Performance. Dr. Groppel currently serves on an academic appointment as Professor of Kinesiology & Community Health at the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign, and served as an Adjunct Professor of Management at the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University for several years.     Patricia A. Hasson has served as President and Executive Director of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Delaware Valley, Inc. (CCCS) since 1998. During her eleven year tenure the agency has tripled in size expanding to meet the increased community demand for financial counseling and education services and now operates 17 offices throughout ten-county region of Philadelphia and southern New Jersey. In 2007, Hasson was appointed to the Federal Reserve Board Consumer Advisory Council (CAC) and in 2009 was appointed Chair of the Housing & Community Development Committee on the CAC. Founded in 1976, the CAC meets with the Board of Governors three times a year to advise the Fed on issues including fair lending, community development and consumer protection. In 2009, CCCS was awarded the George Bailey Award by the Reinvestment Fund (TRF) of Philadelphia in recognition of the agency’s entrepreneurial spirit and outstanding commitment to investing in the community for a better future. Under her leadership, CCCS was also awarded the 2008 United Way of Southeastern PA . Champion of Impact Award, for exemplary leadership in improving income for residents of our region. She is currently a member of the Small Business Board of Directors for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GPCC). In 2008-2009 she served on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the GPCC and was Chair of the Small Business Board. Hasson also serves as a Board Member of Greensgrow, an urban farm in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.
