Kristen Berman is a co-founder of Duke's Common Cents Lab with Professor Dan Ariely. Common Cents is generously supported by MetLife Foundation. Kristen was on the founding team of Google's behavioral economics team, and was previously the founder of Irrational Labs, a behavioral economics non profit focused on health and happiness.

Kate Hao is the Founder and CEO of Happy Mango. She founded Happy Mango to bring greater transparency to credit reporting. With better information, Kate believes that credit markets can be made to work better for both borrowers and lenders.Kate was previously the Treasurer of the broker-dealer subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, where she worked for over 12 years across various functions. While working as a bond trader during the 2008 crisis, she recognized the limitations of existing consumer credit reporting systems, which provided information about a problem only after the problem has occurred. Her training in fundamental financial analysis enabled her to develop a forward-looking consumer credit assessment algorithm that lay the foundation of the Happy Mango credit analytics. Her executive experience in managing large teams and complex projects ultimately led to her decision to bring her idea forward and form Happy Mango.She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Accounting from Albion College. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Financial Risk Manager (FRM).�

Wei Lien Dang leads product management at CoreOS, helping enterprises to deploy modern, cloud-native infrastructure. Prior to CoreOS, he held senior roles in product management for various enterprise platforms at Amazon Web Services, Splunk, and Bracket Computing. He holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from the California Institute of Technology.

Scott Talbott is responsible for developing and executing ETA’s federal and state legislative and regulatory strategies on behalf of ETA’s more than 500 member companies. During his short tenure at ETA he has already grown the government affairs department exponentially.He has not only transformed ETA’s advocacy policy but has provided ETA with a stronger voice in Washington.Prior to joining ETA, Mr. Talbott served as the Senior Vice President for Public Policy at The Financial Services Roundtable, where he directed the overall policy strategy, managed the daily legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts, as well as directed communications. Mr. Talbott also served as counsel to the organization and managed the Roundtable’s Political Action Committee. He has received numerous accolades in his tenure, including being named a top lobbyist by The Hill in both 2009 and 2011-2015, as well as a “winner” for his work during the economic collapse of 2008 by Washingtonian magazine. In 2010, he appeared in the Oscar-winning film “Inside Job.” Once named NPR’s favorite bank lobbyist, he is a frequent contributor to both national and international media. Mr. Talbott joined the Roundtable in 1994 after working in the tax departments of Arthur Anderson and Ernst & Young. He received his B.A. from Georgetown University, cum laude, and his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
