In a new episode of the Financial Planning Podcast, Ballentine Partners financial education specialist Akeiva Ellis explains her multifaceted role with one of the largest RIAs in the country.

Ellis joined the Waltham, Massachusetts-based firm in 2017, and her latest project is a podcast called “Ballentine Broadcast: Conversations on Black Wealth.” Ballentine is the No. 31 fee-only RIA on Financial Planning’s annual RIA Leaders rankings, and, last year, Ellis became part of the first group of planning professionals recognized in FP’s Rising Stars award. In addition, she’s an ambassador to the CFP Board and the co-host of a YouTube series with 10,000 followers called “The Bemused: Making Sense of Money.”

In the podcast, FP Chief Correspondent Tobias Salinger asked Ellis the following five questions about her thoughts on the intersection of planning and content, how she came up with the idea for the podcast and her plans for upcoming projects in the future.
