Less than a week after announcing that it had nabbed a trio of Morgan Stanley advisors in Pennsylvania, Raymond James has added another Morgan Stanley team with more than $700,000 in production.

The husband-wife team, Marlene M. Fowler and Christopher F. Fowler, who operate under the name Fowler Financial Group, join in the Houston, Texas, office of the firm’s employee broker/dealer division. Both serve as senior vice presidents at the firm.

Together, the two have more than forty years of experience in the financial services industry.  Both started out at A.G. Edwards around 1990 and moved to Morgan Stanley in 2007 when A.G. Edwards was acquired by Wachovia. While at Morgan Stanley, they managed more than $70 million in assets and had more than $700,000 in production.

“They have demonstrated a history of serving the interests of their clients ahead of their own, which fits exactly with the Raymond James client-first culture. I am very pleased to welcome them to our firm,” Houston Complex Manager Chuck Zimmerman said in a statement.

As of the end of its first fiscal quarter of 2013, Raymond James had 5,427 advisors in the U.S. The firm said that it plans to continue to draw in outside advisors and shed low-producing Morgan Keegan advisors after its acquisition of that business last year.
