ING has hired industry veteran Thomas Halloran as president of its registered broker-dealer, ING Financial Partners, the firm announced on Thursday. He will begin Nov. 18.
Halloran will be responsible for the overall management, strategy and growth of IFP and will be based in ING U.S.s Braintree, Mass. office, reporting to Rich Linton, president of Individual Markets for ING U.S. Retirement Solutions. Halloran replaces Karl Lindberg, who will take on a new role developing and overseeing IFPs evolving advisory practice, infrastructure and service model.
Halloran most recently served as a managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he worked to develop advisory solutions for the mass-affluent customer segment. Prior to that, he held various positions of responsibility at Putnam Investments. Overall, he has 25 years of experience working with financial advisors in various marketing and sales leadership roles.
Were thrilled Tom is joining at this pivotal point in our journey to being Americas Retirement Company, says Linton. Karl has provided a solid foundation to build upon, and he will now turn his attention to creating a sustainable and effective service model for advisory-focused IFP reps to deliver advice to their clients.
