Wells Fargo Hires $2 Billion Advisor From J.P. Morgan

Wells Fargo hired an advisor who oversaw $2 billion in assets under management at his previous job at J.P. Morgan.

Christopher Hill, a CFA, will be senior vice president in Wells' Wealth Brokerage Services division in Miami. At J.P. Morgan, he worked in its private bank in New York covering ultrahigh-net- worth clients. Before that, he was in J.P. At Wells, Hill will continue to serve the ultrahigh-net-worth clients, mostly in the Miami area, focusing on both assets and liabilities, according to a bank spokeswoman.

Timothy Ratty, regional brokerage manager at Wells for southeast Florida, said in the announcement: "We are delighted to have Chris join our talented team of wealth management professionals here in Miami. His experience, education and passion for excellence will help us to deliver an unparalleled client experience for our very best relationships.”

Wells Fargo Advisors straddles multiple advisor channels with about 3,300 bank channel advisors in addition to its wirehouse advisors.  All told, they oversee about $1.4 trillion in client assets.
