Janney Nabs 2 from Morgan Stanley

Janney has picked up a former Morgan Stanley duo with over $1.5 million in production.

The Philadelphia-based firm brought on Randall Renneisen and Robert Fischer. Combined, the two oversee $195 million in assets. They will operate as the Renneisen Group in Janney’s Greenville, Del., office.

“They have a significant presence in the Delaware market, and the depth and breadth of the group’s knowledge and experience will further strengthen our Greenville office and enhance our ability to deliver top quality financial service and advice to more clients within our existing footprint,” the president of Janney’s private client group, Jerry Lombard, said in a statement.

Both are legacy Legg Mason advisors. Renneisen has more than three decades of experience, having started his career in 1984. He also spent time at Citigroup Global Markets and had been at Morgan Stanley for the past four years.

Fischer began his career at Legg Mason in 2000 and also went through Citigroup before joining Morgan Stanley in 2009, according to registration records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

“Top-tier advisors continue to view Janney as an attractive alternative to larger firms because of our client-centric philosophy and flexible environment,” Lombard said.
