LPL’s Top Advisor Opens Pair of Regional Offices

Carson Wealth Management Group, announced Monday it has opened its first two regional offices bearing the Carson Wealth brand.

Carson wealth has bought two advisor practices in Washington state and hopes to buy five more next year.

The Omaha, Neb., based company, which is led by CEO Ron Carson, who has been the top advisor at LPL Financial for 19 years, said that the move marks the first step to expand Carson Wealth nationally.

Carson Wealth, which has $2.6 billion in assets under management, plans to establish regional hubs in areas that it identifies as “being the best cultural and strategic fit for its style of delivering service to its clients.”

Jonathan Foster, Carson Wealth’s president, will manage the expansion initiative. Foster previously rain advisory corporate development for E-Trade Financial.

"Ron and I have been discussing expanding with regional offices around the country since I joined the firm in 2009,” Foster said. “We had to find the right time and the right partner with whom to make the first move: we've identified both."

Carson said "I've been in this business a long time, and I believe strongly that we have developed an ideal model for serving the 'Middle Class Millionaire', not just in our backyard, but nationwide as well."

Paul Nieffer, who is a partner at Hanson NvO LLC, a Washington-based CPA firm that Carson Wealth acquired, said he has been working with Carson Wealth for the past year.

Carson Wealth plans to continue to expand nationally, but Foster said "we are not in a rush,” Foster said. “The key for us is to identify not only attractive regions, but also ideal local partners who understand the value of building a national brand, and recognize the capabilities that Carson Wealth can bring to their practice.  It's really about shared values with regard to serving clients.  These values have allowed Ron Carson to build an exceptional wealth management firm."

Carson Wealth, which was founded in 1983, has a pipeline of strong young wealth managers at its disposal. Carson also owns PEAK, an advisor consulting and coaching firm.
