Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, a law firm focusing on fund representation, has brought on a new partner specializing in regulatory and compliance matters.

The firm, which works primarily with hedge funds and private equity funds, hopes that his experience will boost the firm’s Financial Services Practice, especially as the regulatory environment becomes increasingly complicated.

Formerly a partner at Shulte Roth & Zabel, Silfen has primarily focused on counseling investment companies and investment advisory, brokerage, securities custody and transfer agent services.He has represented investment firms, their board of directors, investment advisors, and broker dealers in their dealings with investment products and services, including mutual funds, wrap accounts, and 401(k) and RIA products.
