Pyxis Names Ross President

Pyxis Capital, a Dallas registered investment advisory firm, named J. Bradley Ross president, replacing Joe Dougherty.

Since 2003, Ross was executive vice president and national sales director of Ivy Funds, where he was in charge of leading the firm’s retail distribution efforts. While there, Ross helped in growing the firm’s assets to $55 billion.

“His most recent success at Ivy paints a perfect example of what he brings to the table for Pyxis,” said Scott Kavanaugh, chairman of the board for the Pyxis Funds.

Prior to Ivy, Ross was senior vice president and national sales manager for ING Fund’s independent channel in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Ross will use his skills in asset management, product development, strategic planning and market analysis in his new position. “The alternative products space is still young and based on the firm’s background, platform and team, Pyxis is well positioned to assume the leadership role in this arena,” Ross said. “I was attracted to Pyxis because of this positioning plus their innovative thinking and commitment to offering a compelling set of alternative investment solutions.”
