Ron Carson's empire just got a little bit bigger.
Peak Advisor Alliance, Carson's advisor coaching firm, has joined forces with Craig Faulkner's digital content firm, Faulkner Media Group, to create a new digital content service offering both internal practice management coaching and client-facing marketing materials.
The offering, dubbed Digital Fortress, offers content aimed both inside and outside a practice:
For advisors themselves, the product offers video- and text-based practice management lessons with content derived largely from Peak's existing coaching platform.
- For external communications with clients and prospects, the tool offers pre-approved articles, social media posts and other digital marketing materials.
All the consumer-facing content has been submitted to FINRA, Faulkner says: "We have FINRA review letters attached to all our content." Faulkner says the venture is also working with home-office compliance departments at many big IBDs.
Advisors can also choose to let the tool automatically stream content -- website articles, tweets, etc. -- although Faulkner recommends that advisors customize their topic mix to avoid having other Digital Fortress clients releasing the same information.
The target market, says Carson, is advisors making between $250,000 and $2 million in revenue. "Smaller advisors are hungry for growth," he says -- and larger firms might have custom, in-house resources. Carson says the service costs $495 a month, with the company aiming for a one-year upfront commitment.
In addition to his original wealth management firm, Carson is also founder of Peak Advisor Alliance, the advisor coaching and networking organization, and Carson Institutional Advisory, a platform for independent advisors. He also co-founded RIA study group aRIA.
