Stocks Close Out Losing Week With Modest Gains

The Dow Jones Industrial Average picked up 34.59 points to close at 13,080.73 Friday, wrapping up a week that saw both the Dow and S&P 500 post their largest weekly losses of the year.

The Nasdaq and S&P 500 added 4.60 points and 4.33 points, respectively.

The Commerce Department reported that new home sales posted an unexpected delince of 1.6% to a seasonally adjusted 313,000-unit annual rate in February while the media sales price jumped 8.3% to $233,700.
