Virtus Joins the App Race

Multi-asset manager Virtus Investment Partners has launched a mobile app designed to give users access to what the firm has to say about the latest developments in the financial markets.

The app provides financial advisors, investors, and market followers access to Virtus' most up-to-date blogs and commentaries from market strategists, including the market events calendar from chief market strategist Joe Terranova.

"A key component to investor success is having a better understanding of the economic indicators that are likely to define future market trends," stated Jeff Cerutti, executive vice president and head of retail distribution at Virtus Investment. "We designed this app to deliver timely market information that investors can understand and use to prepare themselves for an educated discussion with their financial advisor."

The system also gives financial advisors access to the regional director or consultant from Virtus who can provide personalized assistance with Virtus products, including the Virtus Mutual Funds.

Users can download the app for free through the iTunes App Store and the Android Marketplace and is compatible with iPads, iPhones and iPod Touches using Apple operating system 4.3 or later, and with devices using the Android™ operating system 2.2 or later.

It was developed for Virtus by Case Partners of Hartford, Conn.
