Now that you’re active on social media, it is time to consider some ways to integrate it into your existing website.
Try using Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn buttons to weave social media into your website.
“Social media networks and your website should work seamlessly to promote your brand online,” says Maggie Crowley, digital marketing coordinator of Advisor Websites. “Working together, these two channels drive an unlimited amount of interactions, impressions and ultimately sales to help grow your firm.”
Tools like NiftyButton.com automatically generate social media buttons and icons that you can embed on your website for free. These social buttons should be displayed at the top or bottom of your home page, and on either the left or right sidebar, says Crowley.
“By including these visible social media buttons on your website, you make it easy for your web audience to ‘like,’ follow or share your web content,” she says.
You also give visitors a choice of how to communicate with you. “You have to use social media in tandem [with other strategies], in that all of it has to work hand in hand,” says Matt Halloran, president and founder of Top Advisor Coaching. “You have to communicate with clients in the medium they want to be communicated with.”
