Morningstar has named Peng Chen, president of its Ibbotson Associates unit, president of its global investment management division. In this role, Chen will be responsible for the company’s investment consulting, retirement advice and investment management operations in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, including Morningstar Associates, Ibbotson Associates, Morningstar Investment Services, Old Broad Street Research and Seeds Finance.

Chen, who was president of Morningstar’s Ibbotson Associates unit, will oversee the company’s investment consulting, retirement advice, and investment management operations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, including Morningstar Associates, Ibbotson Associates, Morningstar Investment Services, Old Broad Street Research, and Seeds Finance.

Winkler joined UBS in 2003 from Credit Suisse First Boston where he specialized in TMT M&A for five years. He began his career in July 1997 at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell as a member of the M&A team.

UBS Wealth Management Americas hired three advisors from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in its Los Angeles operation.
