Raymond James Names Manager for New Office

Peter Alberding will oversee Raymond James’ new Boston office as branch manager. Alberding joins the firm from UBS, where he served as a complex manager and COO of UBS’ western U.S. division. He started his career in the financial services industry in 1997 as a financial advisor for PaineWebber.

Raymond James Appoints Mid-Atlantic Complex Manager

Warren Wright has left Morgan Stanley to become Raymond James’ Mid-Atlantic complex manager. Wright will be based in the firm’s Washington D.C. branch. While working at Morgan Stanley, Wright served as a branch manager and complex business development manager.

Morgan Stanley Picks Up Team With $600M AUM

Morgan Stanley lured away an advisor team with more than $600 million in assets under management from Merrill Lynch.


Led by advisors Albert Fox, Edward Penberthy and Joseph Dehn, the team joined Morgan Stanley’s Mount Laurel, N.J. office effective March 20. The group reports to branch manager Richard Maratea.

Lebenthal Wealth Advisors Lands Team With $1.2B AUM

Lebenthal Wealth Advisors, a 5-month-old wealth management firm with a famous name but zero assets, has received a major jumpstart with the arrival of a $1.2 billion breakaway Morgan Stanley team.


Carrie Gallaway, 37, and Andrew Stern, 38, joined Lebenthal as partners with an equity stake. They were part of the high-powered Sorenson Group at Morgan Stanley in New York.


"It's a landscape-changer for Lebenthal," says industry consultant Tim Welsh, president of Larkspur, Calif.-based Nexus Strategy. "A team with a book like that can write their own ticket, and if they're successful at Lebenthal, they can attract other big teams."

Wells Fargo Breakaway Broker Joins Securities America

Hilary Jones Rojo has left Wells Fargo Advisors to join Verus Capital Partners, a branch of independent broker-dealer Securities America.


Rojo managed $65 million in client assets while at Wells Fargo.

Benjamin Edwards Snags Wells Fargo Advisor Group

The Tetreault-Robb Financial Group has left Wells Fargo to join forces with regional broker-dealer Benjamin Edwards.


The four-person team is forming Edwards’ newest office in New London, N.H., marking the firm’s first office in the state and its forty-second overall.


The team is comprised of veteran advisors Lori A. Tetreault and Thomas J. Robb as well as financial associates Stefanie Howell and Diane Hobart. Both Tetreault and Robb have accredited asset management specialist certifications.

Wells Fargo IBD Channel Adds Advisor With $424M AUM

Financial advisor Jeffrey Fratarcangeli, who managed more than $424 million in client assets while at Merrill Lynch, has joined Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network, the firm’s independent broker-dealer channel.


Fratarcangeli is based in Birmingham, Mich., with offices in New York and Florida. He is a veteran of the financial services industry, having started his career in 1996 with Dean Witter Reynolds, according to FINRA documents.

RBC Recruits International Advisor From Barclays

RBC Wealth Management recruited Ileana Platt, an advisor specializing in global high-net-worth clients, from Barclays Bank.


Platt is a two decade veteran of the financial services industry, having also worked at Credit Suisse. Prior to joining RBC’s Miami office, she generated more than $2 million in annual production.
