401(k) Investors Naive, Study Finds

401(k) investors know very little about the fundamentals of asset allocation, according to a study by John Hancock Mutual Life of Boston. Only 25 percent of respondents considered themselves to be knowledgeable investors, while 40 percent said their investment skills were inadequate. Only 44 percent had a specific strategy or goal for allocating retirement savings.
