Fortune magazine has named Abigail Johnson, president of Fidelity Employer Services, No. 18 on its list of the “50 Most Powerful Women.”

Although questions persist about whether Abigail Johnson will eventually succeed Fidelity Chairman Ned Johnson, she heads a key business unit at Fidelity and is a major shareholder, Fortune noted.

The magazine said it also considered the importance and size of the business Johnson runs and the momentum of her career.
