ABN AMRO Financial Services Picks New CEO

Thomas Zidar has been appointed president and CEO of ABN AMRO Financial Services, the company said this week.

He will head the advisory and broker/dealer arm of ABN AMRO North America, which operates under the names LaSalle Financial Services and Standard Financial Services. The company offers investment services, including funds and annuities through its branches.

Zidar joined the firm in 1997 as a VP, and has headed the company’s North American Acquisitions Group. He most recently oversaw the integration of Michigan National Band and Standard Federal Bank for the firm. He has also previously worked for A.T. Kearney in Chicago and TTG, which is an investment banking firm operating out of New York and London.

ABN AMRO Bank is based in the Netherlands and maintains locations in 70 countries and territories. The company’s North American operation is based in Chicago and oversees $90 billion in assets.
