Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America has promoted Gabrielle Matzdorff as its CFO effective March 1, the company said last week.
Matzdorff joined the company in 1990 and has since worked in the corporate accounting department and directed mergers and acquisitions at the firm. She became a VP and controller in 1999 and oversaw the firm's financial reporting and accounting operations.
She will report to Mark Zesbaugh, who previously held her position. Zesbaugh will now serve as Allianz Life's CEO.
Zesbaugh said Matzdorff was chosen for the position because she "has been instrumental in consolidating our financial reporting, financial analysis and financial management systems."
