ALPS Names New VP and Board Members

ALPS Mutual Fund Services, a third-party vendor of administration, distribution, fund accounting and transfer agency services, has promoted Sean McLean to VP of fund accounting.

McLean will be responsible for managing daily fund accounting operations as well as directing new fund conversions for ALPS. Previously, he served as a fund accountant at American Data Services and a fund accountant trainer at INVESCO Funds Group.

ALPS also announced that it has elected two executives to its board of directors. Thomas Carter, the firm's CFO, and Jeremy May, director of mutual fund operations have joined the board.

Carter, who joined ALPS in 1994, is responsible for the firm's financial activities, technological development and strategic planning and oversees the firm's exchange-traded fund initiatives. May, who oversees ALPS' transfer agent, fund accounting and administrative services, was also named senior VP.
