American Century Will No Longer Waive Minimums

American Century Investments of Kansas City, Mo. is no longer waiving fund minimums for those investors who choose to invest through automatic investment plans.

American Century had for many years waived minimums for investors who put at least $50 a month in any of 24 of its 70 funds. All of American Century's funds had minimums of between $2,500 and $10,000. The policy change will take effect Oct. 1, and will only affect those who establish such accounts after that date.

American Century also raised the minimums on its American Century Gifttrust from $500 to $2,500.
