American Skandia Advisor Funds Reach $ Billion in Assets

The American Skandia Advisor Funds have reached $1 billion in assets. They were first introduced in July of 1997. According to American Skandia, reaching the billion-dollar mark means that the funds had the most successful launch in the industry's history.

The fund family is composed of funds managed by 13 investment managers including; Janus, Marisco, T. Rowe Price, American Century and Lord Abbett & Co.

American Skandia attributes much of its success to the fact that its funds are multi-managed.
