Andersen Resigns as AMVESCAP's Auditor

Arthur Andersen has informed AMVESCAP PLC that it will not seek reappointment as independent auditor at AMVESCAP’s annual general meeting scheduled for April 26, according to documents filed with the SEC yesterday. AMVESCAP is the parent company of both INVESCO and AIM Management.

A resolution to replace Andersen with Ernst & Young LLP for this fiscal year will be put to shareholders at the annual meeting, according to the filing.

AMVESCAP said in the filing that it had no disagreements with Andersen in its business with the company in 2000 or 2001.
