Asilis Returns to Vega From J.P. Morgan Chase

Carlos Asilis, chief stock strategist at J.P. Morgan Chase, has resigned from the firm after less than a year to return to Vega Asset Management in Madrid, a hedge fund he worked for throughout the 90's.

Asilis was previously the global head of equity strategy in emerging markets at J.P. Morgan and was promoted to chief strategist of the equity department last summer, replacing renowned stock market bear Doug Cliggott.

Asilis, born and raised in the Dominican Republic and an expert in his field, has held positions at Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse First Boston.
