Robert W. Baird & Co. has hired Morgan Stanley Smith Barney executive Mark T. Stevanovic to open the firm’s first wealth management office in Maine.
Stevanovic will serve as senior vice president at the firm, following his most recent stint leading Morgan Stanley’s offices in Bangor and Portland, Maine. He also previously held various positions at Morgan Stanley, also working from Massachusetts and New York. Stevanovic started out as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.
Baird’s new wealth management office will be in Portland, Maine. Its opening coincides with the firm’s expansion strategy that also includes new locations in areas such as Charleston, Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Raleigh, N.C.; Salt Lake City; Portland, Ore.; Denver; Fort Worth, Texas; Sacramento, Calif.; San Francisco; and Lynchburg, Va.
