Beeson will maintain his current role as CEO of One Group Mutual Funds. He will continue to report to Banc One CEO David Kundert.
Beeson joined Bank One in 1994 as CFO of Banc One Investment Advisors Corp., the firms registered investment advisory unit. In 1995, he was named head of One Group Mutual Funds.
One Group also announced two promotions today. Robert Young was named COO, responsible for the day-to-day management of the fund family. Before the promotion, Young was managing director of mutual fund administration and support for five years at One Group. Previously, he served as an audit senior manager at
David Thorp has been promoted to senior managing director and national sales manager. He had been managing director and national sales manager for the fund complex for nine years. Previously, Thorp served as a regional representative for MetLife/State Street mutual funds.
