Bank One Taps Board Member For Strategy Position

Bank One Corp. has hired Heidi Miller to serve as an executive VP of strategy and development, the company said today.

Miller began serving on Bank One’s board of directors in October of 2000. She will not stand for reelection to the board because she is now joining the company. She had also previously served as vice chairman at insurance provider Marsh. Miller will now work with Bank One’s executive management team and will now report to CEO James Dimon.

The company brings Miller aboard as it shifts its focus from clamping down on financial discipline issues toward growing its business, Dimon said.

Miller is charged with the task of refining the company’s customer service for small businesses, corporations and middle-market businesses.

Miller began her banking career at Chemical Bank in 1979.
