BNY Mellon Asset Management has promoted Gabriela Parcella to the chief executive role at Mellon Capital Management Corp. and hired Bart Grenier as chairman and chief executive of Boston Company Asset Management LLC.
Both Parcella and Grenier also join BNY Mellon Asset Management’s executive committee.
Parcella became chief operating officer at the firm in 2008 after first joining the firm in 1997. With her promotion to the CEO role, Charlie Jacklin will now serve as Mellon Capital chairman focusing on client relationships and investment strategies. Mellon Capital co-founders Tom Loeb, who is currently chairman, and Bill Fouse will both serve as chairmen emeritus.
Grenier joins Boston Company Asset Management from Deutsche Asset Management, where he served as chief investment officer and global head of institutional investments at DB Advisors. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president at Fidelity Management & Research Company.
Mellon Capital Management Corp., which is part of asset management company BNY Mellon Asset Management, has $208 billion in assets under management, according to the firm, including assets managed by dual officers of Bank of New York Mellon, Dreyfus Corp., and Mellon Capital Management Corp. It is part of asset management company BNY Mellon Asset Management.
