BNY Mellon Wealth Management is delivering on its plan to boost its sales force. Since announcing its long-term recruiting campaign in late May, the wealth manager has made a string of hiring announcements, the most recent of which include the addition of three sales directors in Miami, West Palm Beach and San Francisco.
Wells Fargo 13-year veteran Christopher Facka joined BNY Mellon a senior director for business development in West Palm Beach. At Well Fargo, Facka most recently served as branch manager and financial advisor overseeing a team of nearly 40 in West Palm Beach.
Megan Gorman joined BNY Mellon in February as a senior sales director in San Francisco and will focus on the ultra-high-net-worth market in Northern California, BNY Mellon said. Previously, she was vice president for financial counseling at Ayco Co., which is owned by Goldman Sachs.
Eric Stein joined the team in Miami as a senior director for business development from BB&T Bank, where he was a wealth advisor. Prior to BB&T Bank, Stein was a high-net-worth client advisor with SunTrust Bank in Coral Gables, Fla.
The three appointments were announced during the two-week period ended today. BNY Mellon aims to increase its sales force by 50% to about 150 people by the end of 2014.
