The First American Small Cap Growth Opportunities Fund, formerly The First American Micro Cap Fund, introduced its new name at the end of January, after reopening to new investors in December.

In conjunction with the debut of its new moniker, Brian Bies was promoted to the position of co-manager of the fund to work alongside Joe Frohna. Frohna, a CPA and CFA, who has managed the fund for more than five years now, was ranked by Barron's as the No. 2 U.S. portfolio manager in 2001 and the No. 6 portfolio manager in 2002. Bies, CFA, has been an analyst for the fund since 2001. The fund, which had been closed since July 2001, has assets of more than $297 million.
