Brinker Launches Managed Account Platform for Advisers

Brinker Capital, an independent investment consulting firm that provides mutual fund and managed account services, launched today a new separately managed account for financial advisers and their clients. Brinker maintains that the program, Brinker Capital Managed Portfolios, offers managed accounts "with the administrative ease only once available with mutual funds."

By aligning with FOLIOfn, an online brokerage platform that will provide the new service with back-office brokerage technology, Brinker says the Managed Portfolios service will allow advisers to offer separately managed accounts to a greater number of clients. The service offers independent money management from a host of money managers, with the flexibility to customize an investor’s asset allocation and manager selection, and to easily replace managers.

The new service includes the Brinker Capital ProGen System, a tool that allows advisers to generate and track client proposals.

The investment managers participating in Brinker Capital Managed Portfolios are: 1838 Investment Advisors, Nuveen Asset Management, AIM Private Asset Management, Penn Capital Management, Fred Alger Management, Regent Investor Services, Chartwell Investment Partners, Rittenhouse Financial Services, Delaware Capital Management, State Street Research & Management, Emerald Investment Advisers, Stein Roe Investment Counsel, Lotsoff Capital Management, Turner Investment Partners and Metropolitan West Asset Management.
