The Calvert Group of Bethesda, Md., will act as a consultant on how to invest in socially-responsible firms for Scottish money manager Murray Johnstone. Murray Johnstone is planning to launch a new fund that invests in international companies that contribute to global society. It will be called the Murray Ethical World Fund.
Calvert's seven-person social research department will help Murray Johnstone find socially-responsible firms through Calvert's database, as well as by analyzing media reports, interviewing company management, searching through regulatory agency materials and reviewing reports by third-party advocacy organizations.
