Capgemini Acquires Thesys Technologies

Capgemini has acquired IT firm Thesys Technologies Private Ltd. of India. Terms of the deal were not released.

Thesys provides end-to-end banking software services including implementation, training, testing, upgrades, product customization, support and maintenance.

Capgemini said the acquisition expands its offerings for private wealth management, retail and corporate services in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Latin America and complements Capgemini’s industry-leading data migration, testing and project management services.

“Thesys has delivered the highest levels of Temenos implementation services for over a decade,” said Tirunelveli Sivaramakrishnan Jeyaraman, CEO of Thesys. “Combining Thesys’s offerings with Capgemini’s global delivery model will create the industry-leading delivery platform of choice for Temenos-enabled core banking and wealth management services.”

Aiman Ezzat, Capgemini’s CEO of financial services global business, added: “This acquisition helps ensure that Capgemini will maintain a leadership position as a trusted business and technology solutions partner in the retail banking and wealth management market segments.”
