Combining the two business lines will make it easier to market the groups line of investment products and managers to broker/dealers and financial advisers, Peter Voss, president and CEO of CDC IXIS Asset Management said in a statement. "This will allow us to take a more focused approach to distributing our products and to better leverage the relationships we have built in key distribution channels," he said.
The groups separate account services include several different strategies managed by affiliate managers.
As part of the move, Matthew Witkos has been named head of the groups separate account and mutual fund wrap initiatives, reporting directly to Hailer. He will be responsible for building strategic relationships for the firm, the company said. Witkos formerly worked for
