CFAs Vote Putnam CEO One of Industry's Three Most Influential

A poll of 86,000 certified financial analysts by the CFA Institute has found that Charles “Ed” Haldeman, chief executive officer of Putnam Investments, is one of three executives they believe to be the most influential in the investment management industry, Reuters reports.

The two other CEOs named are Jean-Pierre Mittaz of UBS Global Asset Management and Mohammad Shoaib of Al Meezan Investment Management.

The analysts said they voted for Haldeman for having improved the performance, lowered the risk and cut the fees of Putnam funds. They also noted that he has brought more transparency to portfolio managers’ compensation as well as a more relaxed atmosphere at the firm.
