Charles Schwab Expands Footprint in New York City

Charles Schwab has added two new flagship branch locations in New York City—a 10,300 Rockefeller Center branch expected to open in early November and an 8,100 square foot Grand Central branch that opened in late September.

The Grand Central and Rockefeller Center locations will offer complimentary wi-fi and iPad access in the branch lobbies, the financial services firm said in a press release Monday. The branches will also have web terminals where clients can access their accounts, and the Rockefeller Center branch will be equipped with video conferencing facilities, Schwab said.

Schwab expects to hold approximately 250 in-branch investing workshops in its New York City area branches by end 2011, out of nearly 10,000 such workshops nationwide, according to the firm.
