Citi Private Bank Expands Wealth Business

In a move to grow its business to the ultra-high-net-worth set over the next few years, Citi Private Bank has appointed Daniel J. Williams and Steven A. Gold to its private banking ranks.

Williams was most recently a private client advisor and managing director at U.S. Trust Bank of America Private Wealth Management, which is a unit of Bank of America Corp. He joined the firm’s Manhattan office on May 10 as Managing Director and Ultra High Net-Worth Private Banker.

Gold, formerly of Harris myCFO Investment Advisory Services LLC, will serve in the same role at Citi’s San Francisco office. He joins the firm later this month.

Citi spokesman Mark Costiglio said that both men would cater to the varying financial services needs of the ultra-high-net-worth universe.

Williams reports to Leslie Bains, interim regional executive for the Metro New York area, while Gold will report to Tracey Warson, Citi’s West Coast Regional Executive.  Citi Private Bank is a unit of Citigroup.
