Citi Private Bank hired Stephen Baird as director of its Houston branch, where he will provide private banking services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
Baird will report to Russ Labrasca, the head of the Houston office.
Labrasca said Baird is valuable hire because he has spent his career working with corporate executives from the oil and gas and private equity industries in the Houston area. “He is an excellent addition to our Houston team and will play an important role in further establishing Citi as the premier wealth management firm in this market,” Labrasca said.
Baird was an executive director and private banker for JPMorgan Private Wealth Management’s Houston office. Before joining JMorgan in 2009, he spent six years as a director and portfolio strategy consultant at UBS, covering the South Central region, which is made up of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. “I am delighted and honored to be joining Citi Private Bank’s Houston team and look forward to delivering on the firm’s commitment to significantly expand our presence across Texas," Baird said.
