Claymore Launches Four Exchange-Traded Funds

Claymore Securities launched four exchange-traded-funds with unique approaches to investing last week.

The Claymore Clear Spin-Off ETF seeks to capture the spin-off effect by tracking an index comprised only of spin-off companies from larger companies.

The Claymore Sabrient Defender ETF tracks an index of around 100 stocks that invests solely in defensive equity securities, thereby offering the potential upside of the equity markets while seeking to limit the downside risks associated with equity investing.

The Claymore LGA Green ETF, based on the Light Green Advisors Eco Index, tracks diversified environmentally responsible companies that use efficient energy and materials. The index has around 225stocks.

Lastly, the Claymore Ocean Tomo Patent tracks the first publicly traded-available patent index. The index is comprised of approximately 300 stocks.

“With these four new Claymore ETF’s, we feel we continue to provide unique investment strategies that can be used to help enhance portfolio opportunities,” said David Hooten, chairman and chief executive officer.
