Commerce Bank Promotes Portfolio Manager to VP of Trust Ops

Commerce Bank has promoted Ryan Lovill to vice president and market executive for The Commerce Trust Company’s Central Missouri region. The position is based in Columbia, Mo.

In his new role, Lovill will “focus on all aspects of staff development, new business development and relationship management related to the division’s asset management, traditional trust and financial advisory services, private client group and private banking services for individual and institutional clients,” the bank said in a statement.

Lovill was most recently vice president and portfolio manager at Commerce Trust’s Kansas City office, where he was responsible for managing individual and institutional client relationships. He has eight years of investment experience, the company said.

In a statement, Commerce Bank President Teresa Maledy welcomed Lovill’s “leadership in helping prospective clients find superior management strategies and objective investment advice through Commerce Trust.” 

The Commerce Trust Co., a division of Commerce Bank, administers more than $36 billion of client assets. It provides asset management, private banking and trust services for individuals, families, corporate executives and business owners. It also serves institutional clients, according to the bank.
