James Cusick has joined Conseco Capital Management (CCM) as director of consultant relations. The previous director resigned a year ago, but the firm did not name a new one until now. The reason for that is simply that the firm was waiting until it found the right person, according to Susan Ruhl, national sales director, institutional sales for Conseco. Cusick will report to Ruhl.
Cusick's responsibilities will be to call on and build relationships with the consultant community and make consultants aware of the firm's investment strategies and process, said Ruhl.
Cusick joins CCM from Mitchel Hutchins where he was also director of consultant relations. Prior to that, he held various sales positions within the public fund market at Kemper Asset Management and Citicorp. Cusick has also served as president of the Association of Investment Management Sales Executives (AIMSE).
Conseco Capital Management serves as the investment advisor Conseco, Conseco Fund Group, and other affiliated companies.
