Credit Suisse First Boston has hired Brian Finn as a member of its new office of the chairman, which includes CEO John Mack and chairman Stephen Volk. Finn will also serve on the firms operating committee and its executive board.
In his new position, Finn will work with the firms top leadership to shape CSFBs overall strategy, including its growth initiatives, the company said in a statement. He will also concentrate on strengthening CSFBs investment banking and private equity businesses as well as its client development.
Finn has served as a principal with a private equity firm called Clayton, Bubilier & Rice since 1997. He had also joined CSFB in 1982, working there for 15 years and serving as the firms co-head of mergers and acquisitions.
