Tony James has been appointed chairman of global investment banking and private equity at Credit Suisse First Boston, according to the company.
He had previously worked as co-head of global investment banking and private equity. James will now focus on investment banking strategy as well as senior client relationships and the firm's private equity business. He will continue to report to John Mack, the company's CEO.
In addition, Adebayo Ogunlesi will become head of global investment banking. He most recently headed the company's global energy group. Ogunlesi will report to Mack and serve on the company's executive board and operating committee.
