Amy Butte has left Bear Stearns, where she was a senior managing director, to join Credit Suisse First Boston.
She will serve as chief strategist and CFO reporting to Jeffrey Peek, who is vice chairman and head of the firms financial services division.
At Bear Stearns, Butte covered the brokerage and asset management industry. And in a prior position with Merrill Lynch, she covered the securities industry.
"Her experience as an analyst for the brokerage and asset management industry and her strong reputation within the financial services community makes her ideally suited for this role," Peek said in a statement.
